Popcorn With Yeast Extract

Crunchy homemade popcorn with a smokey bacon twist. Totally addictive!

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/3 cup popcorn kernels
  • 1 tsp NZProtein Stock Powder (pure yeast extract)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sprinkle of cayenne pepper for the brave

Directions

  1. Get a a large pot that has a matching lid. Place over medium heat and pour in the oil.
  2. Add corn kernels and stir to coat in oil then place lid on top.
  3. While waiting for the kernel to start popping shake the pan to avoid any burning or sticking to the pan. Do this until all popping has ceased.
  4. Pour popped corn into a sieve to cool (this will prevent condensation which can make popcorn soggy).
  5. Sprinkle over seasonings and stir through. Easy!
