Here's an easy recipe for protein bars made from faba bean protein and peanut butter. They're vegan and have a chocolate topping.
Ingredients
For the base:
- 3/4c smooth peanut butter
- 1/2c honey
- 1T vanilla
- 1T coconut oil
- 1/4c ground flaxseed
- 1/2c NZProtein banana Faba Bean protein
For the topping:
- 1/2c dark chocolate chips
- 1T coconut oil
Directions
- Mix all the wet ingredients together until smooth.
- Add in dry ingredients and mix well. It should be a cookie dough consistency.
- Press the mixture into a lined baking tray and set aside.
- In a small bowl melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil in the microwave, or over low heat in a saucepan and pour over the slice.
- Set in the fridge for 1+ hour to set the chocolate. Slice and enjoy!
